3D Fireflies hot off the press. As with the newest ones, cross your eyes just enough to see three images, and the middle one will be in 3D.
As a bonus, if you're looking at this on a laptop, tilt the screen towards you a little to change the angle of the 3D. If you're looking at it on a desktop screen, just stand up to change the angle you're looking at it. Easy.
Oh yeah, click the image to make it nice and big.

3D Girl, the newest in The Daly Blog YouTube Channel. Hope you like it. If you have a really fast connection you can use the HD button when you are looking at it directly on the YouTube site. Nice and big. Sweet.

Nice big 3D wide screen. This will be the new format for my brand new 3D YouTube channel. Hope you like it.
The Daly Blog is now on YouTube too. New videos coming as I make them. The best part for me is witnessing the reactions when someones gets it for the first time. Help your friends see these images and let me know how it went.
"Oh Wow!"
That was the phrase I heard most over the few days I was showing my wares at Comic Con. Thank you so much for taking the leap of faith and trying something new. This is one of the images that was causing a stir. This sold out at the event. Not to worry, I'll be making more of these and will have them available towards the end of the month.
Why is this so different from my other 3D illustrations? This is my first image where I've broken down the barrier and made single lines travel through space. Huge breakthrough....and you'll be seeing a lot more of this here.
For this image, this time cross your eyes until you see three images, and then focus on the middle one. Enjoy, my friends, especially my new friends that saw this in person at Comic Con.
Comic Con International 2009 is this week. Come find me at table C6, and let me know if you visit this blog. I LOVE meeting my readers! Yup, vacation mode for me. Just got back from chilling out. No phones, no web access for the laptop.... just chill mode. Now I'm back, so new posts coming soon. I'm a bit too wrecked now after the drive back to do a 3D Illustration for today, but I'll try to get one up before the end of the week. I'll also give more of an update once I get myself back on track. I enjoyed the whole weekend, and you guys were the reason for it. For the moment, a quick sketch of someone with her comics and books in hand....
Here's a handy map to my table D19. Anything brand spanking new? Well, for the first time since I started the 3D Illustrations, I'll be bringing a larger format print with me. Can't wait to show it to you. I usually do these at a smaller size due to a comfort level with your eyes. Slightly different way to look at this than usual. Should be fun. Now that I'm mobile, I'll be twittering away at the event. Check out the sidebar for the micro blogging, or if you're on twitter, follow me @thedalyblog.

Hope you all had a good new year. Best wishes to you all. So, I've lots of things going on this year and I'll let you in on things as time goes on. Right now I'm planning the "Not Your Granny's 3D" tour! Hooray.
Now I'm not one to be yammering on with lots of text in this blog but please read on as you'll find out what to expect in the coming year.
I've just joined Facebook and Twitter, and added the panels on the sidebar so I'll be doing micro blogging from there. So even if I don't have a post up for a couple of days, you'll see what I'm up to. If you're on either of those sites come find me and say hello. I've got a lot of stuff to find out about this year, so I'll take you on that trip as well through those micro posts. Last year was a huge learning curve for me. Now I know so more about the publishing industry and I know that will come in very handy for future projects.
Also, this year I'm going to try to do three posts a week. After finishing my 3D Illusions book, a lot of time was spent on things other than drawing. So, time to put that right again and spend more time at the drawing board.
Also, I'm starting a new feature on this blog. I'm going to call the section "The Daly Tree". There are a couple of reasons for the name. One of them being that I wanted to create a section of things that I found inspiring. This past year was so inspirational for me because of the wealth of unbelievable work going on in the blogsphere. I'm not just talking about artwork, but a whole range of design posts which I hope will feed your quest for cool things. I wanted to give you something that you might not have discovered on your regular stops. I'll give out three links that I've come across which I think you might enjoy. The branches will be an individual post which could be anything. They could be older posts or brand spanking new posts. An eclectic "soup of somethings" you may have missed, hopefully to feed the mind and inspire creativity. It's up to you discover more from the people I branch off to.
So help the tree grow by clicking the branches (links) below. Hopefully they will be inspiring to you too. Feed the tree to help it grow....
