Shapes

Fun with shapes.
Awhile ago I was looking around for a nice black line pen/brush pen. I tried out a bunch and was never completly satisfied with the result. One day I was in a local Longs store ( a kind of everything store (stationary/sweets/food/pharmacy) for those of you living outside the U.S.), and saw in the stationary section, under the title....." pens for older persons with visual impairment" or somthing like that. It promised a dark black solid line, an "easy to read pen". The pen actually says that on it.
(the name is Sanford 20/20, easy-to read-pen.) So I picked one up and gave it a try. You know what. I love it. I bought a ton of them since. I really like using them. they flow nicely and they scan into the computer really nicely too which is a bonus. I just thought that after browsing artshops looking for something really nice, I found it somewhere I really didn't expect. Maybe it's not the deepest darkest black line you've ever seen, but the're fun to use and cheap.
Anyway, here you go. Messin' around with shapes. Coloured in Photoshop.

Donna,

Thank you for the link. I'm always glad to meet fellow artists!! I love the way you compose! There is also a certain poignancy and simplicity about your style. I'll be stopping by regularly.

regards,

Louie

Donna-

Beautiful work! It's funny, but just the littlest difference can make a design look unique in style. Great stuff!
