Comic Con Come and Gone

Wow, I had such a great time. Thank you so much to everyone who dropped by and said hi, picked up a book or grabbed a print. I love you all.

I'm not even sure where to start. I was surrounded by the best of the best and enjoyed hanging out and meeting so many fellow artists that I have met through the blog. What a great time. Can't wait to do it again. I'm knackered now, and it's taken longer than I thought to recover.

My thanks go to all who made the con a great experience for me. First, my boothmates made the event fly by. Jeremy, Morgan, Scott, Gabriele and Jakob. A fine bunch of lads I'm honoured to work with every day. Some of the incredible artists I met and now have the great pleasure in hanging out with were Bobby Chiu and Kei Acedera, Stephen Silver, Robin Mitchell, Deanna Marsigliese, Patrick Morgan, Josh and Justin Parpen, Pascal Campion, John Neverez, Kevin Dart, Chris Turnham, Elizabeth Ito, Kristen Lester, Griselda Sastrawinata, Louie del Carmen, Alberto Ruiz, and Justin Ridge. My God what a list of talent. Thanks for making me feel at home. Also Stuart Ng, the nicest book seller I've ever met, made me feel more than welcome and was pleased to see my books selling well off his shelves.

It doesn't end there though. I dropped by and met Dean Yeagle, Octavio Rodriguez, Richard Pose, Mike Roush, Daniel Cooney, Matt Stewart, Francisco Herrera, Kelsey Mann, Billy and Catherine Martinez, Erwin Haya, Scott Morse, Bill Presing, Don Shank, Jeff Pidgeon, Ted Mathot, and I finally met Daniel Davis and his lovely wife Dawna.

Now there were so many I didn't get to meet but hopefully I'll fix that in the future. No wonder the time flew by. Cheers everyone. I had a fantastic and inspiring time.

It was a pleasure having dinner with you. We'll have to do it again sometime!

And beautiful book. What a wonderfully beautiful simplistic style you have. A real gem.

Donnachada, I totally blew it! I never got to your booth!!! AHHHHHH... I saw it while racing back to my booth on Sunday and thought "I need to go there later" then next thing I knew, con was ended.

Uhhh... I needed to have come by and get your book, and check out your booth-mates books...

Oh well, it was great meeting you none-the-less. I will be sure to check back here all year long!

Thank you so much for the little drawing you whipped up for me while I was being entertained by your booth-mates at the Con. It now has a place of honor in my studio. It was great to meet you. I love your style- such simple, yet whimsical and totally purposeful lines. I will check back often to see what lovely new drawings you've posted.

Please come to the opening of the LA Myth show at Meltdown Comics- Saturday, August 11, 8-11pm. The artist list is *mostly* animators, including me! If the fun & fantastical art and DJ don't tempt you to attend, then perhaps the yummy hors d'oeuvres will. :) Hope to see you there. Spread the word.
